I love painting along the coast of the UK. I try to spend a little time each year in St Ives Cornwall. I find the costal walks here stunning.

The Welsh coastline is absolutely wonderful as it does not get too crowded and has that beautiful feeling of being alone but content. Bournemouth and Brighton are other favourite painting destinations

Early morning in Venice with the sun rising before the crowds gather is another beautiful place where I love to paint. My most adventurous place where I have painted is in the Kalahari, South Africa. The thrill of seeing the wild animals and trying to capture them on paper will always be with me. The danger mixed with the achievement is exhilarating. The sunset on Carnack beach in France is also inspirational.

In fact if my granddaughter sees a good scene her standard answer to everyone is "My Nanna would like to paint that"
